Hesci! (Hello)

Welcome to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Public Sex Offender Registry website. The Poarch Band of Creek Indians made the decision to protect its sovereignty and promote the public safety of its community by implementing the sex offender registration requirements set forth in Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (Title I of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, P.L. 109-248), 42 U.S.C. Section 16911 et seq., as amended (“SORNA”). The Tribe has made this registry available on the internet with the purpose of better assisting the tribe and the public in preventing and guarding against any criminal sexual acts by convicted sex offenders. The goal of the Tribal Sex Offender Registry website is to increase public awareness and to deter recidivism by an offender. Public awareness of sex offenders living, working, or going to school on the Reservation is an important tool to protect children and adults living on the Reservation against further abuse by sex offenders. The Tribal Sex Offender Registration Code requires that any person, whether Indian or non-Indian, who has been convicted of a sex offense and who resides, works, or goes to school on the Reservation register as a sex offender with the Tribe and information related to the offender is placed on this website.

Mvto! (Thank you)
